The ICLEI Global Executive Committee election
The Global Executive Committee is the representation of ICLEI Members at the global level, both generally and before global and international institutions.
The Global Executive Committee is the only body other than the Council that has the power to decide policy for the entire Association.
It has the sole power to adopt and amend the ICLEI By-Laws, the power to call meetings of the Council, the power to appoint the Secretary General and to approve the establishment of an ICLEI office. More information available in the ICLEI Charter.
The term of the Global Executive Committee is for three years.
The Global Executive Committee is made up of Regional seats, nominated from the Regional Executive Committees, to represent each ICLEI Region and Portfolio seats, elected from the ICLEI Membership by the ICLEI Council.
